About the event
A programme of vibrant and exciting new works for tenor, oboe & piano, written by RCM Junior Department composers for pianist Irena Radić (RCM Constant & Kit Lambert Junior Fellow), tenor Rory Carver (RCM Alumni, opera singer and recitalist) and Katherine Bryer (Sub-Principal Oboe with the Scottish Chamber Orchestra). This project also celebrates the centenary of composer Kenneth V Jones (1924-2020), who studied and taught composition at the RCM. There will be a centenary celebration concert for KVJ on Thursday 28th November, which will feature his ‘Four Songs for High Voice, Oboe & Piano’ - the work which initially inspired these commissions.
